Material Modelling

Division of Structural Mechanics

Material modelling, or constitutive modelling, concerns describing different materials based on how they behave when subjected to mechanical loading or exposed to varying environmental conditions.

The following are examples of materials and research questions studied at the Division of Structural Mechanics:

  • Wood and wood based materials: Professor Erik Serrano, Associate Professor Henrik Danielsson
  • Glass: Professor Kent Persson
  • Concrete: Professor Ola Dahlblom
  • Elastomers (rubber): Professor Per-Erik Austrell
